A subscription to the Essential Cloud Plan is included with your purchase of a ChargePoint CPF50 charging station ("Charging Station"). Your access and use of the Essential Cloud Plan is subject to the then-current form of ChargePoint Master Services and Subscription Agreement ("MSSA") and the following supplemental terms and conditions ("Essential Cloud Plan Terms and Conditions"):
The ECP is billed in a 12-month billing cycle (365 days) counted from the date of subscription. For new stations, the term begins at station activation. For existing ones, it begins upon fulfillment of the cloud plan token exchange.
ChargePoint will always retain 10% of session fees as a Flex Billing fee. In addition, ChargePoint will retain the remaining 90% of session fees until the USD$140 (or CAN$190) annual cloud plan fee is covered. Afterwards, it will deposit 90% of session fees ("net session fees") on a monthly basis. At the end of each annual cycle, the process will restart in the same terms.
If the sum of chargers' session fees is greater than the sum of cloud plan fees at the account level, the customer in question would not make payments for that year.
Yes, station owners must set a price of at least $0.10/kWh. We require a minimum price to make it more likely that session fees will cover cloud plan fees for as many accounts as possible. Station owners should be encouraged to set a higher price to at least cover their electricity costs.
